Himalaya, which means “abode of snow” in Sanskrit, owes its name to the purity of the rose cut diamond. A stone with a flat bottom and a domed crown: its small number of facets give it a gentler light that a round cut diamond, and at the time it was a revolution in the world of diamonds.
