The Babylone collection is inspired by the age-old "filigree" technique. Even though this technique has been partially lost with time, Stone Paris has immersed itself in to keep it alive. In this way, gold's revealed, light and airy. The jewellery-making technique, from the Italien filigrana "grain thread" was found in Mesopotamia and then all over the world over 7,000 years ago, and involves reducing and stretching gold into a very fine thread. The gold wires are expertly twisted, beaded, and soldered to craft exquisite ornaments.
